Project Manager to replace non-compliant waste water treatment facility in Gliwice, Poland. There were two goals for this project. The first goal was to provide a technical solution to become compliant. The second goal was to develop local site expertise in project management. The technical steps included: gathering months of influent and effluent data, writing a scope of work to provide lab and pilot scale treatability testing, selecting a local contractor to perform this work, writing a scope of work for process design and equipment selection, selecting process and building construction contractors and ultimately building the facility. The project management development tasks included: defining the project milestones using work breakdown process, defining specific roles and responsibilities, establishing mechanisms to track cost and schedule and reporting of status to management. These tasks were executed from the US.

- Install Personal Care Product Blending and Packaging System. Project Manager for the primary mechanical contractor for a system consisting of Utility (steam, chilled water, dry compressed air and purified water) and Process (3 pre-mix tanks, 3-4,000 gallon blending tanks and 9-4,000 gallon holding tanks) systems. Take initial cost estimates and prepare project master schedule, including resource leveling. Continuing to provide 3-week short-term schedules and weekly Last Planner schedule to manage construction.Track costs each month against the initial plan and update as change orders are approved. Review design updates and prepare change orders for approval. Follow up on equipment deliveries and specifications for items ordered by the engineering company. Set up internal project responsibilities for supervisors, superintendent, design and administrative functions.

- Replace Waste Water Treatment Plant aeration system. Upgraded existing waste water treatment aeration system with a coarse bubble submerged diffuser system while continuing to operate the plant normally. This upgrade was justified by the $100,000 energy savings from eliminating over 90 horsepower of continually operating motors.
-
- Install Air Pollution Control Devices to reduce VOC emissions to below the MON threshold. Installed a Regenerative Thermal Oxidizer for a high flow, low concentration vapor stream and a Cryogenic Condenser for a high concentration, low flow vapor stream. Both systems were permitted and approved by the NJDEP. Managed post-installation stack testing for both units. The installation of both systems was scheduled around plant production needs.

- Project Manager to provide contract manufacturing for a major customer. Led weekly phone meetings with customer. Coordinated sub-teams for Quality (analytical procedures, labeling, validation), Logistics (raw material and container sourcing) and Engineering (capital spending, permitting, operating procedures). Provided product to customer in time to avoid any supply disruption when they closed their facility. Environmental management system.
- Led team to upgrade and replace high purity chemical bottling and drum filling systems. This team replaced electro-pneumatically controlled packaging systems with PLC controlled systems. This involved selection and modification (due to electrical classification) of commercial equipment and integrating the equipment into a system. An outcome of the equipment development was a patent application for an innovative cap washing system. Environmental management services.
